Challenge

The details and light-up effects of automotive lamps are hard to capture with conventional photography. The client wanted to show dealers and customers the full lighting line-up before the products hit the market.

Approach

We rebuilt the vehicle and the lamp set in 3D with physically based materials and light sources, then used camera moves and light animation to present the alphabet lamps, grille lights and headlights one by one.

A companion film, “Alphabet Headlights”, uses floating, exploded letter modules and assembly animation to highlight how the lamps can be customized.

Deliverables

Two high-definition product films plus multi-angle still renderings for the client's website, social channels and trade shows.
